The Metric Art wash hand basin from Villeroy & Boch
Villeroy & Boch has been producing ceramic goods since 1748, and the German manufacturer's range now includes tiles and sanitary ceramics as well as crockery. The square Metric Art washbasin is characterised by its wide rim and relatively shallow basin. The design looks very generous and elegant, making the basin a perfect fit for a designer bathroom.
Utilising the space under the washbasin
A vanity unit can be retrofitted under a washbasin and offers practical drawers with compartments for all personal hygiene utensils. Due to the washbasin's water connections, the vanity units have no rear panel, with galvanised steel brackets securing the vanity unit in a torsion-resistant manner. The design of the interior of the vanity units also takes into account the installation connections.
Our Villeroy & Boch vanity units
The modern and cubic style of our vanity units supports the generous and inviting design of the Metric Art washbasins from Villeroy & Boch. The combination creates an elegant unit, with the two wide drawers of the vanity unit emphasising and continuing the horizontal lines of the shallow washbasin. The daily exposure of the bathroom fittings to moisture requires the use of high-quality materials. A 2 mm thick polyvinyl chloride (PVC) edge not only absorbs shocks, but also prevents moisture from penetrating into the material via the damaged surface - in the worst case, the material swells. We also only use soft-closing full-extension runners for the drawers, which can withstand loads of up to 40 kg and close with barely an audible click. Good bathroom furniture design therefore requires the professional processing of hard-wearing materials: this is why all our bathroom furniture is subject to strict quality tests that ensure our high "Made in Germany" standard
You decide
We offer you a wide variety of colours for the vanity units, as you can not only choose between numerous surface colours, but also combine them freely. In addition to the glued surfaces in wood colours, we also offer a white or black lacquer finish. To prevent premature chipping of the varnish, the actual varnishing is followed by two further work steps (sanding and polishing). This is time-consuming work that we take on in order to produce a high-gloss furniture surface that can withstand the heavy use of bathroom cabinets. In our showroom in Wächtersbach, we show you our various bathroom fittings so that you can try out the drawers and get a feel for the quality of the vanity units. By comparing the various designer bathrooms on site, it will be easier for you to decide on your designer bathroom.
